ActDoes a series of steps on its own.
Step in halfway
Hand over a task. Once you only see the result, once you see it work and can step in.
Let the AI pack for a cabin weekend. It will get one thing wrong.
Tell me about your trip and I'll pack for you.
Where people already do this
- Orality. Think out loud, and your thoughts land as clusters on a canvas you can rearrange by hand or by voice, instead of in a growing chat thread.
- WaitGPT. While an AI analyzes data, each step shows up visually so you can check and change a single step without starting over.
- Cocoa. The AI's plan appears as a list of steps you can edit, and each step has a switch to give it to the AI or take it yourself, so the AI pauses and waits when it reaches your part.
An inspirational bit is a small, working thing that lets you feel one property of a technology instead of reading about it (Sundström et al. 2011, Klint 2018). More about the method
There’s no real AI here yet. The replies follow simple rules, so the only thing that changes is how you interact.
